A little known area of the Cathedral is the Art Studio. Located above the Pontifical Hall of the Lutyens Crypt, groups of volunteers meet there three times a week to make and repair hangings, banners, vestments and stoles. These are made for the Cathedral, but commissions will also be taken from around the country from churches, schools and other organisations.
