Exhibition: A New Cathedral,1960

Cathedral

10.00am - 4.00pm

As one of the major architectural competitions of the post-war period, the 1960 architectural competition for Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral attracted international attention, with 299 entries from around the world.

This fascinating exhibition will bring together for the first time a selection of the architectural submissions and will also include newly commissioned physical models of key schemes.

Located within the main entrance porch of the Cathedral this will be an opportunity for the public to see some of the alternative designs, with contemporary reflections upon their merits.

This exhibition is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is produced in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University.

Please note, in a change to dates previously advertised, this exhibition will run until December 2017. Entrance is free.
