Cathedral receives lifeline grant from Government’s £1.57bn Culture Recovery Fund Posted on Sunday 11 October 2020

We are delighted to announce that Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral is one of 445 heritage organisations across the country set to receive a lifesaving financial boost from the government thanks to the £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.

We have been awarded a total of £477,800, from the Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage, which will support us through the coronavirus pandemic. This financial lifeline will cover a substantial proportion of our running costs for the next six months, enabling us to safely remain open to visitors and continue our activities during this restrictive period. It will also support our longer term plans to engage with visitors, as we emerge from lockdown.
