The Dean’s Easter Message Posted on Sunday 1 April 2018

It seems that we are in for a return to colder conditions this Easter but whatever the weather we should not let it dampen our spirits as we celebrate the Feast of the Lord’s Resurrection. I wish you all a Happy and Blessed Easter. We have completed our Lenten Journey and commemorated the Lord’s Passion and Death during Holy Week and now we rightly celebrate the Easter Season with great joy. The Lord is Risen and in the joy of this season we celebrate new life and renewed hope – God’s love and goodness triumphs over all adversity. We have received an Easter message from Archbishop Malcolm which is available here.

The lilies decorating the various altars for Easter are a wonderful symbol of the Resurrection and we pray over the Easter Season for all those to whose memory they are dedicated.

Finally a grateful thanks to all who have played their part in making Holy Week run so smoothly. All your hard work and time spent in preparation is greatly appreciated.

May Easter be a special time for us and I hope you will all have time to rest after our celebrations.
