The London Oratory School Schola is coming to Liverpool for a weekend in September by special invitation. One of the country's leading liturgical and commercial boys' choirs, it has been invited by Liverpool Hope University to give a concert to mark the joint work of the two bishops. |

Acoustic Triangle is taking its musical exploration of inspiring buildings to new heights in 2008. The acclaimed trio will be joined by six world-class string players, including the Sacconi String Quartet, for a grand tour of Cathedrals, Abbeys and other large buildings. The audience will engage in a uniquely moving experience of sound and vision in which new compositions and improvisations will resonate in harmony with these great buildings. Musicians will appear from all around - their sounds echoing, developing, melting, re-emerging, surprising - in a joyful celebration of magnificent spaces. The collective thoughts of experts in acoustics, architecture and history will be shared with the audience during informal pre-concert or interval discussions with the musicians. |

The life and work of the most famous and influential architect of the 20th century features in a major, new international exhibition premiering in Liverpool during its year as European Capital of Culture. Organised by the Royal institute of British Architects (RIBA) Trust, Le Corbusier – The Art of Architecture will be exhibited in one of the most distinctive and dramatic spaces in Britain – the crypt of the Metropolitan Cathedral, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.
