The Visitor Centre Encompasses the Piazza and the Gift Shop. It provides outstanding refreshments, attractive gifts and historical information at your fingertips!.
In 2005 the Piazza won the Mersey Partnership's Annual Tourism Awards in the Best Small Tourism Business category. The result was announced and celebrated on the evening of the awards, at St George's Hall.

Information
The Cathedral is normally opened from 8.00am to 6.00pm, but is closed at 5.00pm on Sundays in winter. There is no charge for admission but a contribution to the upkeep of the building would be appreciated. A donation of £3 per person is suggested. Guides are usually on duty to show you round and explain the mission of the Cathedral. Photography is permitted in the Cathedral except during Services.
