SAMM is a national charity supporting families bereaved by murder and manslaughter.
This annual service is organised by SAMM Merseyside and is intended for families and individuals who have suffered a traumatic loss to come together to remember loved ones with dignity and respect.
The central focus of the evening is the reading of the names of those being remembered along with the lighting of a candle in their memory. A Memorial Tree will be placed on the High Altar on which families can place leaves with pictures and messages to their loved ones. Those attending are also invited to place a picture on the steps of the Altar.
This is a non-denominational service. All are welcome – people of all faiths and beliefs, those with no beliefs and those who may have lost their faith.
