The Cathedral Concerts Society

The Concerts Society was established in the 1960s soon after the opening of the Cathedral to promote musical and cultural events at the Cathedral.   Cardinal John Heenan, whilst Archbishop of Liverpool and the man behind the realisation of the cathedral plans, had expressed the wish that the Cathedral should become a centre in the City of Liverpool for arts and culture.    To this end he was responsible for the foundation of the Cathedral Choir, a Choir School and the installation of a notable pipe organ.

The Chairman is John Moseley who can be contacted by clicking here.

Details of current concerts can be found on the News and Events page and full details of all of the season's concerts on the Concerts Society webpage.
