It costs more than £2,000 every day to maintain the ministry and fabric of the Cathedral and we depend totally on voluntary donations. With your generosity we will continue to fulfil the important role played in the life of the Cathedral parish, the Archdiocese of Liverpool and the City of Liverpool. We want to ensure that the Metropolitan Cathedral retains its no entry charge policy so that all visitors can enjoy a free visit.
If you would like to help with the cost of the upkeep of the Cathedral by making a donation, single or regular, or by means of a legacy, please contact the Dean's Assistant in the first place for information. Listed below are a number of the funds that need support and we encourage you to make donations towards one of your choice.
- Lutyens Crypt Project
- Choir Endowment Fund
- Golden Book
- Cathedral Fund
Our most recent legacy from a former regular worshipper of £90,000 was made in 2010 towards the costs of the Music Department.
We really do rely on the generosity of people like you to help us maintain this wonderful building and to contribute to its upkeep.
